In Gears of War, there were a couple of different skins for the COGs and the Locust.
In Gears of War 2 the developers should take it to next level by having each skin having their own specific skills, and all characters are only able to have two guns (pistols included) and one type of grenade.
-Marcus, and the Drone have the Lancer and Shotgun, and they have smoke grenades.
-Dom has the sniper rifle and the standard pistol, with smoke grenades
-The Theron Guard has the Torque Bow with the standard pistol, and it has smoke grenades.
-Cole and the Grenader has a shotgun and the revolver, but they both have frag grenades.
-Baird has the Hammer of Dawn with the Lancer. Smoke Grenades.
-New Locust class, it has an emergence hole gun where any COGs can fall in and are killed, and the pistol, With smoke.
-Hoffman and Raam have the Boomshot with the standard pistol, with smoke.
Now for special skills
-Marcus and the Drone have no extra skills, but they also have no real disadvantages.
-Dom and the Theron Guard have a better accuracy rating when you do blind firing, but they also easier than anyone else to kill.
-Cole and the Grenader have an increased damage through explosions. They are not very accurate when you do blind firing.
-Baird has the hammer of dawn. There can only be one Baird, and The hammer can only be used every 10 seconds.
-The new locust has the emergence hole gun, but there can be only one if its class and the gun can only be used every 10 seconds, and the hole lasts for 5 seconds.
-Hoffman and Raam are the hardest to kill out of everyone, but they are slower than anyone else in the game.
