Just a few seconds ago my friend told me about a quick, very cheap, & easy fix.

He told me that when you see it bllink red several times and it dies on you, you can fix it on your own. Apparently you can get a damp cloth, & put it on your Xbox. This will cool it off & it will start working again.

Granted it doesn't sound like a sure thing. There are many possibilities on what could have happened to his Xbox. His may have overheated.

What I want to know is if this would really work.

I seriously doubt that would work. If it does work it will only be temporary and could cause more damage to your console. And it might be a good way to electrocute yourself.

IF you turn on your Xbox360, wrap it TIGHTLY in a dry towel for 20 minutes, then shut it off and turn it back on about 5-10 minutes later, you will be able to play your 360. This is a very temporary fix and can actually void the warranty and cause more damage to your 360.

I tried it the last time my 360 broke down and it actually worked! I got 3 or 4 more days out of it before I shipped it off to Texas to get repaired. It was a gamble though.

Mmmhhhh.....In the end you'll have to send it back. Too bad they can't fix this problem for good.

its ridiculous that they've had this many problems. Maybe next time less people will buy the next gen console at the beginning because of the problems they've had in the past.
