I was talking to my friend last night while she was playing the new GTA. One of the big problems she had (Other than being up at 12:30am on a school night) was that she had no ideo how to fight, or really do anything. All she knows how to do is steal a car, run over a guys foot, and run. Can you help us with the controls?

Man, tell her to do the missions. They will help her out as long as she reads the little things that pop up and everything. I really can't help unless i really know what she needs help with.

There's actually a tutorial mission that tells you specifically how to fight. The tutuorials still pop up even 3 hours into the game so you have to be patient I guess until you learn it all.

One thing they DON'T teach you is that when you are zooming in to aim with the L trigger, you can actually press "X" and roll to dodge fire. It's VERY useful online to dodge cars when you're about to get run over.

I wish the tutorial was faster but that not that big of a deal. Most of the time I've found no need for melee combat. Your more likely to get killed that way. If you do get in melee combat use the baseball bat and make sure there are no other enemies near by. You can buy it from the weapons shop once its revealed in the story. Another minor tip, avoid using the right d stick to much, makes movement easier.
